Hong Kong's skyline with the IFC II, the tallest skyscraper in Hong Kong and where the latest Batman movie " The Dark Knight" was filmed.



Bastian and I went to the Peak, a mountain located in the western half of the Hong Kong Island. With an altitude of 552 m, it is the highest mountain on the island. From here, you have a gorgeous view of the city and therefore a "must go" for a HK trip!

It is not the leaning tower of Pisa, but we took some fun pictures :O)

Back in San Francisco!

Bastian and I had to fly back to San Francisco to spent the offsite with our Real Estate colleagues. It was nice, as we also could meet our friends Lynn and Arthur again!

Part of our offsite was the bowling event...It was so much fun and Bastian's team won the first price !!!

Of course, we also watched the Euorpean Soccer Championship. Here the match Germany against Turkey. Our colleagues were obviously not for the Germans...

Our furniture finally arrived!

After two months of waiting, our furniture finally arrived from San Francisco! On the one hand, we were more than happy that we could sleep in our bed again, on the other hand, we were so stressed out as we had to leave for our offsite to San Francisco the next day....

My Birthday in Koh Samui, Thailand

For my birhday, Bastian and I took a longer weekend off and travelled to Koh Samui. It is a wonderful small island in Thailand and around one hour flight away from Singapore.




We enjoyed some thai massage, manicure and pedicure :O)

And of course celebrated my 27th birthday!!!

Day trip to Pulau Rawa in Malaysia - It feels like heaven!

Bastian had the spontenous idea to do a day trip to Pulau Rawa. We heard a lot about the beautiful small island in Malaysia, so we decided on Friday night to organize the trip for the following day. We contacted a driver that picked us up at 4am the next morning!!! I was still sceptical, if we could make it to Malaysia and back to Singapore in one day. But you will see... The driver brought us to Johor Bahru, a small town at the border of Malaysia. From there, another cab drove us to Mersing, a little fishing town which is also better known as a jumping-off point to the half dozens of islands near it. With a small speed boat, we finally arrived at Pulau Rawa. The journey was pretty exhausting and adventorous, so was it really worth it ????

Once we arrived at the island, there were no doubts: This is one of the most beautiful islands I have ever seen: Stretches of white sugary sand, secluded beaches, crystal-clear green water and swaying palm fronds offering cooling shades.

Bastian and I enjoyed a wonderful day at the beach.

There are just two little hotels and one restaurant at the beach, but the food was surprisingly good :O)

We will definitely come back to Rawa. It was just like in paradise!!!
