We spent Chinese New Year in Taipei. Din Tai Fung is our favorite restaurant in Singapore, but it is originally from Taiwan. Guess what we did first when we arrived? Of course, we went to Din Tai Fung to eat the delicious xiaolong bao. We had to wait over an hour to get a table. But it was really worth it.
Not in all restaurants they speak fluent English. So a good chance to practice our Chinese. We went to this resturant and wanted to order a duck. Instead she brought us a chicken incl. its head... Probably we have to practice more Chinese :O(
This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Delicious Shabu Shabu at the Taipei 101. We went there about three times :O)

Visiting the 24 hour bookstore Eslite. Yep, this is a bookstore, not a library. People come together here to read books, others to sleep... hehehe

Taiwanese peole seem to be very superstitious and they love to queue. Here they are waiting to get one of the few fortune bags from a department store. They are supposed to bring luck to your home.
